Eclairs, Bridgette Bardot, Victor Hugo, Maurice Chevalier, Jacques Pepin, Hubert de Givenchy, Amelie and berets... thank goodness for French imports! Speaking of berets, you will want to check out Eugenia Kim's stylish version of a classic. And although the beret started out as French military gear, it's managed to delight people through the centuries and become a chic addition to top off your look! Berets still top the tresses of trendy fashionistas. The first thing that comes to mind when I think of the beret is Faye Dunaway in Bonnie and Clyde and Vera Ellen in the "Slaughter on Tenth Avenue" musical modern dance number with Gene Kelly in Words and Music. Now berets are sported by Charlotte Rampling and Madonna who were pictured wearing the black Eugenia Kim 'Nicole' Beret in People magazine. In fact, we've been told that Madonna ordered a total of 25 Eugenia Kim 'Nicole' berets in all colors for her world tour. What can we say... berets are tres chic!
